  Were you or someone you know sexually molested by a Jehovah's Witness ?

  due to the fact there are about 27,000 members of this religion that are known pedophiles, and the information about it is kept in a secret database file, i wonder how many lurking jw's as well as others are aware of the severity of this problem?

  remember, it's 27,000 pedophiles that they know about.

  what about the thousands that don't get caught?

  Chris - you have nothing to apologise for. Anyone who has read your story would support you 100%.

  Mickey Mouse made an excellent point. I don't mind active JWs engaging in reasonable debate, as has been said many times before both sides can learn from the comments made. Renaii's dismissive attitude towards the hurt and pain suffered by many on here was a real irritant. She may as well said that people on here have been imagining the experiences they have gone through.

  Indulge me with some Miss Marpleesque deliberations:

  Renaii (if she exists) is quite clearly a JW outcast who will probably never set foot in a KH again but will envisage herself begging Jehovah to spare her at Armaggeddon. She knows that the JWs may not accept her wholeheatedly so she can play at being a pretend JW through this board. This protects the fantasy that JWs are the true religion.

  If Renaii is a fictional creation - I think the use of a photo as an avatar is a red herring. I don't believe that anyone in Renaii's situation would reveal what they looked like. As has been said before postings throughout the day and often the early hours - who's looking after the kids?

  Another point - if you look at the first thread (I think) started by Chikkie (who says she is Renaii's sister), there are posts by someone called LooLoo who has the same ip as Chikkie - the design of the id box is the same. If someone else has a look and I'm wrong - apologies.

  Good riddance as far as I'm concerned - it was only a matter of time before the line was crossed.

  Keeping it simple and balanced will come across less cranky disaffected member and more normal concerned person.

  Absolutely - you have summed up my intended strategy very well. Taking the vigilante stance can be very counter productive and achieve little.

  Doubtful that any Scottish Football Club will do anything to jeopardize off-pitch revenue in the current climate

  I agree and would be totally amazed if anything resulted from this. However if it gets a few more people thinking and helps them edge nearer towards the exit door then it will have been a worthwhile exercise.

  Les Stewart - his wife is a active JW - so could be dubious as to whether anything negative about JW's would make the PA

  Very interesting - that would account for the feel good piece.

  I'll write to St. J's and the paper and let's see what happens. Worth a go.

  Following on from the JW Scottish Assembly posts - I was thinking of writing to St. Johnstone Football Club (who rent out their stadium to the JWs for the convention) if they realise exactly who they are renting to.

  In particular do they want to be associated with such an organisation that (insert policies etc here) Any feedback?

  Smoking tobacco- ex-JW's have a warped view, so what should we do?

  i used to smoke cigarettes.

  i quit as i was learning the lies of the watchtower organization.. i used to smoke between 1 and 3 packs a day depending on whether i went drinking or not.. .

  i didn't really quit for the religion, but as i was learning it.. i swore to quit when cigarettes got to cost me more than a buck a pack.

  In Scotland smoking is banned in public places. The difference when you go to a pub is amazing. Also no smoking in shops, eating places (can't spell restr...you know what I mean) football grounds, public transport.

  Hopefully it will become so difficult for people to smoke that the habit will die out.

  That is correct - dating and marriage outside of the 'truth' is nearly always frowned upon. This is why you get a lot of JWs frantically trying to convert 'wordly' people if they allow such a relationship to develop.
